Critic wins seat on Coeur d'Alene Tribe's council

The Coeur d'Alene Tribe of Idaho elected two new members to the council, including a critic who was fired amid a dispute over per capita payments and management practices at the casino.

David Matheson, 55, was elected to a three-year term. He was sued by the tribe after he was terminated as chief executive officer of the Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel.

Matheson said he didn't know how the suit will be handled now that he is on the council. Charlotte Nilson was also elected to a seat.
