Snoqualmie Tribe could gain control of county park

The Snoqualmie Tribe of Washington could gain control of a park in King County, Washington.

Tribal and county officials are working on an agreement to transfer the 27.5-acre Fall City Park to the tribe. The county can't pay for upkeep so the tribe would be responsible for operations, maintenance, repairs and improvements.

The tribe has ties to the land and was recognized by the Bureau of Indian Affairs in 1999.
