Blackfeet family can't bury homicide victim

A family from the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana is upset they can't bury LaMarr Windham, who was the victim of homicide.

Windham, 45, was killed last July. Michael Max Miller is awaiting trial on a deliberate homicide charge in county court.

But since Miller's attorney wants the body sent for Pennsylvania for further examination, the burial has been delayed for nearly a year. Blackfeet traditions require burial as soon as possible or Windham's spirit will not rest.

Windham left behind a wife, daughter and stepchildren.
