Mohawk activists in Ontario plan to erect a road or rail blockade on Friday, the First Nations National Day of Action.
The protesters from the Tyendinaga Mohawk Reserve previously blocked a Canadian National rail line for 30 hours in April, a move that disrupted travel and commerce. The community wants the government to resolve an outstanding land claim.
The Day of Action was called by the Assembly of First Nations to draw attention to issues facing Native people.
