Two California tribes donate to Richardson campaign

Two California tribes are among the donors to New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardon's presidential campaign.

The Sycuan Band of Kumeyaay Indians donated $2,300 to the Democratic candidate while the Morongo Band of Mission Indians donated $2,000. The contributions were reported by The Los Angeles Times, based on campaign finance reports filed over the weekend.

The reports showed Richardson with $7 million in donations in the second quarter and $7.1 million in the bank. His contributions have grown but he is still far behind Sen. Barack Obama, who raised $33 million in the same time period, and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, who raised $21.5 million.
