Shoshone-Bannock Tribes kick off annual festival

The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of Idaho kicked off their 44th annual festival on Thursday.

Organizers expect about 10,000 people for the event. They say its the fourth-largest powwow in the world.

"They come from all over the world, all over the United States," tribal treasurer Richard Kutch, Jr. told WPVI-TV. Like in Indian land, we talk about the four directions - our brothers and sisters come from all over from the four directions to help us celebrate."

The festival runs through Sunday.
