Pine Ridge Chamber of Commerce wins grant

The Pine Ridge Area Chamber of Commerce has been awarded a $195,490 grant from the Department of Health and Human Services.

The grant will help the chamber promote businesses on the reservation by helping them with advertising and consumer outreach. Some of the money will be used to update the chamber's website.

The chamber has more than 100 members who do business on the reservation and in the surrounding area, executive director Ivan Sorbel said.

The grant came from the Administration for Children and Families at HHS.
