Senate field hearing on Alaska Native veterans

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee is holding a field hearing this Friday on Alaska Native veterans.

The hearing will address health care for Alaska Native veterans who are returning from the Middle East. It also focuses on health care services in general for Alaska Native veterans who live in villages.

The committee's vice chair is Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska). She is the first Alaskan and the first woman to serve as vice chair.
