Man's death at Colville jail ruled a suicide

A 34-year-old man hanged himself in a Bureau of Indian Affairs detention facility on the Colville Reservation in Washington.

Denver L. Buckman was found dead in his cell last Wednesday. The tribal police department said he may have been depressed. The BIA and the FBI are investigating.

Buckman lived on the reservation but was a member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe from Montana, the police commander said.
