Oglala Lakota College unveils new Head Start

The Oglala Lakota College is holding an open house today for its new Head Start in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.

The college used a $1.2 million federal grant to renovate an old elementary school. The Head Start Center is now safe for about 180 children.

OLC took over the Head Start program from the tribe in 2005.
