Alaska Native corporation executive resigns

Orie Williams, the president and CEO of Doyon Ltd., an Alaska Native regional corporation, has resigned.

Williams started his post in 2002. He has overseen rapid growth of the corporation, which posted a record profit in fiscal year 2006 and whose revenues have increased 114 percent, with net income rising 337 percent.

A statement on the resignation is expected to be released today. Williams will leave January 11, 2008.
