Sauk-Suiattle Tribe ousts chairwoman

The Sauk-Suiattle Tribe of Washington ousted chairwoman Gloria Green in a run-off last month.

Green was defeated by Ronda Metcalf, her cousin. The council will elect a new chairperson this Friday.

Green led the tribe when a dead woman, and all of her descendants, were removed from the rolls. Metcalf said it was wrong for people to blame her cousin for the decision.
