Pueblo woman killed in drunk-driving accident

A Cochiti Pueblo woman and her boyfriend were killed in a New Year's Day accident when their car was hit by a military police officer who was allegedly driving drunk.

Josephine Laweka, 47, came from a well-known family of potters. She was in Albuquerque when her car was hit early Tuesday morning. Laweka and her boyfriend, Marvin Garcia, 44, were killed instantly.

Micah Henry, 23, a military police officer at Kirtland Air Force Base, has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide. His blood alcohol level was more than two times the state's limit. A second airman from the base was arrested a day later on drunk-driving charges.
