The InterTribal Bison Cooperative has been seeing a slow reduction in federal funds during the Bush administration.
The organization will receive $1 million this year. That's down 75 percent from five year ago, said executive director Jim Stone.
The cut is hurting efforts to develop bison herds and distribute bison meat, Stone told the Associated Press.
