Navajo Nation declares state of emergency

The Navajo Nation has declared a state of emergency due to poor road conditions and flooding.

No fatalities or property damage have been reported. But tribal officials declared an emergency to free up funds for reservation residents.

The Navajo Nation Council also approved $25,000 for each of the tribe's 110 chapters for weather related emergencies.
