Journey of the Sacred Hoop stops in Minnesota

The Journey of the Sacred Hoop, a national movement to promote sobriety in Indian Country, is making five stops in Minnesota.

Don Coyhis, the president and founder of White Bison, started the journey nine years ago. The goal is to have 100 communities in healing by 2010.

Coyhis stopped on the Red Lake Reservation on Wednesday and the Leech Lake Reservation on Thursday. Other stops include the White Earth Reservation, the Fond du Lac Reservation and the Twin Cities.
