Members of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma will vote April 19 on the tribe's proposed 2009 budget.
According to The Oklahoman, the $37.7 million budget includes $14 million for per capita payments. Each tribal member would receive about $1,000.
In related news, Chairman Wallace Coffey said a petition seeking to recall Lanny Asepermy from the business committee appears to have forged signatures. Coffey has asked tribal police to investigate.
