North Carolina Indian panel to discuss radio host

The North Carolina Commission of Indian Affairs is holding a press conference today to address disparaging comments made by a radio show host.

Bob Dumas of G-105 made jokes about "lazy" and "inbred" Indians on his show last week. WDCG general manager Dick Harlow has apologized but Dumas has not.

The commission and other Indian leaders, including Lumbee Tribe Chairman Jimmy Goins, say the apology isn't enough. They want Dumas fired, citing a history of abusive remarks against minorities.
