Some Navajo Nation chapter houses lose Internet

A majority of the Navajo Nation's 110 chapter houses have apparently lost Internet service over a dispute involving one of the tribe's service providers.

OnSat Native American Services Inc. supplied Internet to about 80 chapter houses. But the company lost $2.1 million in federal "E-rate" funding after a tribal audit questioned OnSat's billing practices.

Not all chapters houses are served by OnSat. Some receive Internet from the tribe and other providers.
