Protest targets Lumbee Tribe's housing program

Members of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina are upset with the way tribal leaders are handling federal housing funds.

About 75 members held a protest outside the tribal offices on Monday. They presented a petition with 200 signatures that calls for an audit of housing funds and for the tribe to provide more money to elders and the disabled.

The tribe is reportedly under federal investigation into its housing funds. The tribe receives between $10 million and $12 million from the the Department of Housing and Urban Development every year.
