Colorado River soldier killed in Afghanistan
Ara Tyler Deysie, a member of the Colorado River Indian Tribes of Arizona, was killed in Afghanistan on May 9.

Deysie, 18, was a private first class in the U.S. Army. He signed up for the military this past February.

"Since he signed up for the military, I've just been sick," his mother Lori Deysie told The Leaf-Chronicle. "But he did get to do what he wanted to do in his life."

Deysie was part of the 101st Airborne Division. He is among four 101st soldiers who died in Afghanistan last week.
