Natives are 3 percent of hate crime victims in Canada
Native people suffered 3 percent of all hate crimes in 2006, Statistics Canada reported on Monday.

Of the 502 hate crime cases reported to authorities, 16 targeted Native victims. Half of them were classified as "violent crime" incidents.

According to the report, Black Canadians were victimized the most by hate crimes, making up 47 percent of all cases in 2006.
