Pechanga Band re-elects Macarro as chairman
Mark Macarro will continue to serve as chairman of the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians in California.

Macarro was re-elected to a seventh term. He first took office in 1996.

Five incumbents were re-elected to the council. One newcomer was chosen.

One of the first decisions made by the leadership was to cut up to 400 jobs at the tribe's casino, or about 9 percent of the workforce.
