Female Indian inmates plan for financial future
Indian women at a county jail in Arizona are taking part in a program that helps them plan for their financial future.

The Wi$e Up program teaches women how to make a budget, manage credit and invest their money.

"It helped me refocus on my priorities," participant Mellowdi Yazzie told The Arizona Daily Sun. "I've been trying to hide from the credit department for a while. So I needed this class."

The Coconino County Jail received a $10,000 grant from the Department of Labor Women's Bureau for the program.
