California tribes mark Native American Day
Tribes in California are celebrating the state's annual Native American Day.

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is marking the event with a new exhibit at its museum. The Ramona Basket, one of the most famous, will be on display at the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum.

The Morongo Band of Mission Indians kicks off its 18th annual Thunder & Lightning Pow Wow today. The event runs through Sunday at the Morongo Casino.

California's Native American Day was established as an official holiday in 1998.
