Mille Lacs Band to consider removal of top leader
The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe in Minnesota will consider the removal of chief executive Melanie Benjamin at an upcoming hearing.

Benjamin is being accused of using tribal funds for personal use. The allegations stem from work that took place at her home on the reservation.

According to The Mille Lacs Messenger, the FBI has been investigating the tribe's community development department. Benjamin has denied any wrongdoing.
