Letter: Tribes get away with discrimination
"I would like comment on the article on Native American jobs on 2A of the Oct. 14 Phoenix. Really, I have more of a question than a comment.

That is: Don’t the Native Americans know about the discrimination laws and amendments that the white man law has? Are they immune to them? Because my comment is that it sure seems like it.

We can’t by law discriminate against race (Indian, Hispanic, Caucasian, etc.) color, handicap, sex or age. Well, to say “Only Indians need apply” is discrimination. Doesn’t that law apply here? Why do Indians think they can get away with that in this day and time? "
