Newcomer elected Northern Cheyenne president
Members of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana elected a newcomer as president position on Tuesday.

Leroy Spang defeated former president Eugene Little Coyote by 977 votes to 642 votes. Little Coyote was removed from office in December 2007.

Joe Fox Jr., a tribal court judge, was elected vice-president. Five council seats and two trial judgeships were also up for grabs.
