More charges for lobbyists connected to Abramoff
Another lobbyist connected to the Jack Abramoff scandal is expected to plead guilty today while a second lobbyist could face charges.

Federal prosecutors filed a charge of information against James Hirni on Friday. He is accused of providing gifts to a Congressional staffer in order to obtain favorable actions for an Abramoff client.

According to TPM Muckracker, Hirni worked with Todd Boulanger, a former Abramoff associate, to insert language in a federal highway reauthorization bill to benefit their client. They targeted a staffer who worked for Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska), who has been under investigation for his connections to the scandal.

Boulanger could face charges after being identified in court documents as "Lobbyist D." He abruptly resigned from his lobbying firm on Friday.
