Arizona seeks reconsideration of Havasupai ruling
The Arizona Attorney General's Office has asked the state Court of Appeals to reconsider a ruling that allows the Havasupai Tribe to pursue a $50 million lawsuit.

The tribe is suing the Arizona Board of Regents, the Arizona State University and the University of Arizona over misuse of tribal members' blood. The tribe says researchers used the blood for unauthorized studies.

The Arizona Board of Regents released a statement in favor of a settlement, a move welcomed by the tribe. But the state attorney general filed a request for reconsideration earlier this week, The Arizona Republic reported.
