Navajo soldier returns from third tour in Iraq

Army Sgt. Lyn Karl Thomas, a member of the Navajo Nation, received a warrior's welcome in Shiprock, New Mexico.

Thomas, 28, has served three tours of duty in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. "I'm proud of what I do, and I support the cause in Iraq," he said, The Farmington Daily Times reported.

Code Talker Samuel Sandoval was part of the welcoming party for Thomas. Sandoval served in World War II.
