Indian inmates involved in deadly prison fight
A fight between an American Indian inmate and an African-American inmate turned into a deadly brawl at the Oklahoma State Reformatory on Monday.

The prison remained on lockdown on Tuesday following the deaths of two inmates. Both men were African-American.

Officials said the initial fight between the American Indian inmate and the African-American inmate was sparked by a spitting incident.

About 9 percent of the state inmate population is Native American, the Associated Press reported.
