Protest to focus on corruption, disenrollment
United Native Americans Inc. and the American Indian Rights and Resources Organization are hosting a protest on Thursday to call attention to tribal corruption and disenrollment in California.

Activists say tribes are removing members without reason. Disenrollment is "the new form of termination," Quanah Brightman, vice president of United Native Americans Inc. said. "We're becoming extinct," he told The Lake County News.

The event, called "Tribal corruption is not traditional," takes place in Sacramento, the state capitol.
