NCAI close to landing space for tribal embassy in DC
The National Congress of American Indians is close to landing a building for the Embassy of Tribal Nations in Washington, D.C., executive director Jackie Johnson said on Monday.

A deal for the $8 million space could be signed by the end of the week, Johnson said. "We are really close," she told attendees of the United South and Eastern Tribes meeting.

If everything works out, NCAI will be moving to Washington's famed Embassy Row. "It's an historic building," Johnson said of the potential space.

The embassy will serve as a home for NCAI and other Indian organizations.
