Ojibwe man's discrimination complaint dismissed
The Community Relations Commission in Farmington, New Mexico, dismissed a complaint filed by an Ojibwe man because it couldn't gather enough information about the case.

James and Linda Monchamp said Presidential Construction refused to repair their home because James is Indian and Linda is a woman. They presented their case to the commission last month.

But the commission was unable to get information out of the company because the owner refused to show up for meetings. "It's just frustrating that this is all that we can do," said commissioner Emet Rudolfo, The Farmington Daily Times reported.

The couple said they were disappointed by the handling of the case, the first before the commission.
