Museum will return ancestors to Onondaga Nation
The New York State Museum has finally agreed to repatriate 180 ancestors to the Onondaga Nation.

The museum was reluctant to return the remains. But the dispute moved to a resolution after a federal review panel created by the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Review Act sided with the tribe last fall.

The tribe plans a reburial on the reservation.
