Christian network takes '700 Club' to Navajo Nation
The Christian Broadcasting Network sent a crew from the 700 Club to the Navajo Nation for a segment about poverty in Indian Country.

The show visited the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe in South Dakota last year. The segment apparently sparked a lot of questions about conditions on reservations.

"We gave our viewers a taste of what Native Americans are struggling with to provide," reporter Mark Martin told The Farmington Daily Times.

Martin said the show chose the Navajo Nation because the tribe recently opened a casino. "We talked to both viewpoints," Martin said. "Then we explored the spiritual aspect of poverty."

The segment will air on Tuesday.
