County won't allow tribal fire at sacred Bear Butte
The Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota won't be allowed to burn a ceremonial fire at sacred Bear Butte, KBHB Radio reports.

Commissioners in Meade County refused to grant the tribe a permit for the fire. They cited an ordinance that bans open fires in late July and August.

The tribe owns land around Bear Butte.
