Navajo community declares emergency over flooding
A Navajo Nation community in New Mexico is seeking help after heavy rains flooded the area.

The San Juan Chapter voted Sunday to declare a state of emergency, a first for the community. "We're calling for help from local entities," chapter manager Stanley Wauneka told The Farmington Daily Times.

Chapter officials hope to clear roads for safe travel, especially for children heading to school.
