Saginaw Chippewa Tribe moves on development
The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe is moving forward with plans for a hotel and retail complex in Standish, Michigan.

The tribe plans an 80-room hotel and will expand the existing Eagle Valley Outfitters store. New businesses will be added to the nearby Sagamok Shell gas and convenience store.

"We're building a sizable store," Mary Kilmer, the marketing director of the tribe's Migizi Economic Development Co., told The Bay City Times.

Work on the project had been delayed as the tribe and the city negotiated a municipal services agreement.
