Saginaw Chippewa protesters oppose 'nepotism'

Eight members of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan held a protest to decry what they say is nepotism.

The protesters said Charmaine Benz shouldn't have been appointed to the tribal council. Benz is related to current tribal leaders, one of the protesters said.

Benz was appointed to the seat vacated by Simon Jackson, who was suspended after being indicted on drunken driving charges.
