Southern California Indian powwow canceled
The Southern California Indian Center has canceled its annual powwow due to lack of funds.

The powwow has been held for 40 years. But executive director Paula Starr said the organization didn't attract enough vendors to help pay for the event. A request for state funds was denied.

The powwow was going to take place July 31-August 2 at the Autry National Center. A smaller event will be held at the Garden Grove High School on August 1.
