Program targets diabetes about young Indians
A new program called Diabetes Education in Tribal Schools seeks to reduce diabetes among young American Indians.

The program encourages youth to make healthy choices about eating and exercise. It's aimed at students from kindergarten to 12th grade.

The curriculum for the program was developed by eight tribal colleges. Funding came from the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
