Senate Indian Affairs hearing on gang activity
The Senate Indian Affairs Committee holds a hearing next Thursday, July 30, to examine the "increase" in gang activity in Indian Country.

A recent Department of Justice report blames gangs for a rise in beatings, gang rapes, elder abuse, home invasions and drive-by shootings on reservations. “Some tribes are ill-equipped to address this burgeoning crime problem,” the DOJ said, according to the Associated Press.

The hearing will take place at 2:15pm in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
