Tulalip Tribes in 'shock' over young man's death

Johnny Enick, a 23-year-old member of the Tulalip Tribes of Washington who was as a promising radio show host and active participant at the Tulalip Boys & Girls Club, died this week.

Enick went missing last Sunday. Searchers found his body in the Stillaguamish River on Tuesday morning.

“Our community is in a state of shock,” Chairman Mel Sheldon told The Everett Herald. “Our prayers and thoughts are with his family and the community.”

As a member of the Boys & Girls Club, Enick was introduced to First People’s Radio. “He had so much confidence and natural ability toward media. It suited him really well," said Robin Carneen, the show's host.
