The Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians donated $10,000 the families of two firefighters who died in the line of duty.
Los Angeles County firefighters Captain Tedmund "Ted" Hall and Fire Fighter Specialist Arnaldo "Arnie" Quinones lost their lives in the Station Fire. The men were trying to save other crew members when they died late last month.
"Our tribe knows what it is like to lose a family member in the line of duty while serving the public," said Chairman Mark Macarro. "Pechanga joins all Californians in honoring the courage and sacrifices of these brave men. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families."
