Department of Justice holds listening conference
The Department of Justice is hosting the tribal nations listening conference today and tomorrow in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Deputy Attorney General David W. Ogden delivered the opening remarks. He participated in a similar meeting during the Clinton administration over 10 years ago.

"It’s a tragedy that we still face many of the same problems identified a decade ago – far too few cops on the beat; substance abuse; escalating violence against women, children and elders; and lack of support for crime survivors, to name a few," Ogden said, according to the DOJ blog.

Attorney General Eric Holder will attend the conference tomorrow.
