Hopi council eliminates newspaper from latest budget
The newspaper that has served the Hopi Reservation in Arizona since the 1970s will be shutting down next month, The Arizona Daily Star reports.

The Hopi Tutuveni was cut from a budget passed by the tribal council on Monday. One council member referred to the paper as "ineffective," a spokesperson told the Star.

The council approved a $18.5 million budget, or 4 percent lower than the current year.
