Alaska Native village sues ex-president for theft
The Alaska Native village of Tatitlek says former president Lori Ann Johnson stole $560,000 over the past two years.

The village filed suit in state court, accusing Johnson of theft and embezzlement. Current president David Totemoff says Johnson never accounted for the money.

Johnson denies the charges, her attorney said. She was replaced in May 2008 special election but refused to recognize the results.

Johnson was later arrested on drug charges and was recently removed as president of the Chugach school board.
