Cedar Band plans to start construction on travel center
The Cedar Band of the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah plans to break ground this summer on a travel center.

The $9 million Wai’ani Eagle Travel Center would be located on the reservation. The tribe expects to employ between 70 to 80 people.

As part of the project, the tribe is seeking a conditional state tax exemption. A bill is pending to give the tribe taxing authority equal to the state.
